Ninebark 'Zdechovice'

(Physocarpus opulifolius 'Zdechovice')

The cultivar 'Zdechovice' is often called the 'chameleon' among ninebarks thanks to its ability to combine several shades on a single bush at the same time.

Unique features:

• Kaleidoscope of colours: This is the cultivar's main highlight. The young leaves open in spring in a bright orange-red or coppery colour. In summer it turns rich purple or burgundy, but new bright leaves constantly appear at the tips of the shoots, creating a striking contrast.
• Crown and form: The bush has a dense, compact, upright-directed crown. The shoots are sturdy and branch out beautifully with age.
• Dimensions: A mature plant reaches 1.5–2 m in height and about 1.5 m in diameter.
• Flowering: In June it blooms with numerous corymb-like white inflorescences with a slight pink tint. The flowers stand out very vividly against the dark foliage.
