Ninebark 'Dart's Gold'

(Physocarpus opulifolius 'Dart's Gold') is an improved and more compact version of the classic yellow-leaved cultivar 'Luteus'. It is prized for its stable golden colour, which does not "scorch" in the sun throughout the entire summer.

• Foliage colour: The cultivar's main ornament. In spring the foliage is a bright lemon-yellow colour, in summer it turns slightly greenish (light lime-green), and in autumn it takes on warm bronze or golden-orange tints.
• Dimensions: A medium-sized shrub, reaching 1.5–2 m in height and width. It grows quite quickly but holds its form well.
• Crown: Very dense, compact, semi-globe-shaped. The branches are thickly covered with foliage right down to the ground.
• Flowering: In June the bush becomes covered with numerous corymb-shaped inflorescences of white or barely pink flowers.
