Ninebark 'Orange Sunset'

Ninebark 'Orange Sunset' (Physocarpus opulifolius 'Orange Sunset') - a bright, striking deciduous shrub, prized for the dynamic way its foliage changes colour through the whole season and for being highly undemanding.

• Foliage colouring: In spring, as the leaves unfurl, they are a rich orange-copper or terracotta shade. In summer the foliage darkens, taking on a deep burgundy-green or bronze colour, and in autumn it blazes with bright fiery red and orange tones.
• Flowering: In June and July numerous small white-and-pink flowers appear on the bush, gathered into dense corymb-like inflorescences. They contrast with the dark foliage and attract bees.
• Dimensions: An adult bush reaches about 1.5-2 m in height and up to 1.5 m in diameter.
• Crown shape: Dense and spreading, with shoots that grow upright at first and later arch over slightly.
