Eastern Arborvitae 'Mirjam'

Eastern Arborvitae 'Mirjam' (Mirjam) — this is a bright golden "clone" of the famous 'Danica'. It has retained the perfect globe shape of its predecessor, but has added sunlight to the garden thanks to its colouring.

Key characteristics:

• Crown shape: A genetically regular, dense globe. The sprays are arranged vertically, which makes the crown packed and springy.
• Colour: A rich gold throughout the summer; in winter it takes on a beautiful bronze-orange tint, and in spring it again becomes bright yellow.
• Dimensions: A dwarf cultivar; at 10 years of age its diameter is about 30–40 cm. At most it grows to 60–80 cm.
• Growth: Slow, adding only 2–4 cm per year.
• Conditions: Needs a sunny spot. It prefers moist, fertile soils.
• Frost resistance: High (down to -30°C); the cultivar is frost-hardy and resilient in the climate of Ukraine.
