Creeping Juniper 'Jade River' (Juniperus horizontalis 'Jade River')

'Jade River' (the name translates as "jade river") - a refined dwarf ground-cover conifer. Its long shoots creep along the ground, forming a solid, soft, silvery-blue carpet that resembles a stream.

Main characteristics

• Crown shape and dimensions: Creeping, dense, horizontal. The height of an adult plant is only 10-20 cm, while the crown spreads up to 1.5-2 metres in diameter.
• Needles: Small, scale-like, soft to the touch. In summer they have a very attractive silvery-blue tint. In winter the needles change colour and take on light violet-bronze half-tones.
• Growth rate: Moderate for creeping conifers. The annual increment is about 8-12 cm in width.
• Shoots: Flexible, long, they lie closely against the ground or cascade picturesquely over retaining walls.
