Eastern Arborvitae 'Danica'

Eastern Arborvitae 'Danica' is one of the world's most popular dwarf conifer cultivars. It is the benchmark globe-shaped arborvitae, holding its form perfectly without any trimming.

Key characteristics:

• Crown shape: A naturally perfect sphere, very dense and packed. The branchlets are arranged vertically, which creates the characteristic "soft" appearance.
• Colour: Rich green and glossy; in winter it may take on a slight brownish-green or bronze tint, which is normal.
• Dimensions: A dwarf cultivar; at 10 years of age the diameter is about 40–50 cm. At most it grows to 60–80 cm.
• Growth: Slow, adding only 3–5 cm per year.
• Conditions: Prefers sunny spots or light partial shade. Requires fertile, moist but well-drained soil.
• Frost resistance: Very high (down to -30...-34°C); overwinters excellently across all of Ukraine.
