Japanese Willow 'Hakuro-nishiki'

Japanese Willow 'Hakuro-nishiki' is one of the most popular ornamental shrubs thanks to its unusual "chameleon" foliage colouring.

Foliage colouring: The cultivar's main highlight is its spring colouring. Young leaves have white-pink spots that over time turn green-white, and in summer simply light green.

Crown shape: The bush has a globe-shaped, spreading form with thin, vertical shoots of a reddish colour.

Dimensions: It usually grows up to 1.5–2 m in height and diameter, but its size is easily controlled by pruning. It is often found in tree form on a standard.

Flowering: Blooms in early spring (March-April) with small catkins that appear at the same time as the leaves or a little earlier.
