• Foliage: The main feature of the cultivar. The small, fleshy foliage has a deep burgundy-cherry or dark red colour that is retained throughout the whole season (unlike many other cultivars that turn green in shade).
• Flowers: In late summer (August–September) the little bush is covered with massive inflorescences of a bright pink colour. The contrast between the dark foliage and the pink flowers looks very striking.
• Form: This is a low-growing ground cover. It forms a very dense, neat carpet about 15–20 cm tall and up to 40–50 cm wide.
