Chives

Chives, also often called chive or rush leek (Allium schoenoprasum), is a perennial herbaceous plant that combines excellent flavour with ornamental appeal.

🌿 Appearance

• Leaves: Thin, awl-shaped, tubular and hollow inside. They are bright green and grow to a height of 25–40 cm.
• Flowering: In late spring or early summer, charming spherical inflorescences of violet, lilac or pink appear. They are very decorative and attract bees.
• Clump: It grows in dense 'tufts'. With each year the little clump becomes more lush, forming a dense green cushion.
