Beautybush

Beautybush 'Amabilis' (Amabilis) is one of the most beautiful deciduous shrubs, which during flowering resembles a real pink cloud or waterfall.

Detailed characteristics:

• Flowers: The main feature of the cultivar. Numerous bell-shaped flowers of a soft pink colour with a yellow netted pattern in the throat. They have a pleasant, slightly sweet fragrance.
• Flowering: Very abundant, usually in June–July. At this time the shrub is completely covered in flowers, so that the leaves are barely visible.
• Leaves: Delicate and dark green, turning bright red or brown-orange in autumn.
• Crown and size: The shrub has a dense, fountain-like shape with arching, drooping shoots. The height and diameter of a mature plant reach 2–2.5 m. It grows fairly quickly.
• Special feature: The bark on the old shoots peels off attractively in strips, which adds to the shrub's decorative appeal even in winter.
