White Dogwood 'Elegantissima'

White Dogwood 'Elegantissima' (Cornus alba 'Elegantissima') is a true classic of landscape design. It is valued for its incredible undemanding nature and its ability to look decorative all 12 months of the year.

🌿 Appearance and features

• Foliage: The cultivar's main ornament. It has a bluish-green colour with a broad, uneven white border. From a distance the bush looks like a light, almost silvery patch that wonderfully "brightens" dark corners of the garden.
• Shoots: In winter, when the foliage falls, the dogwood surprises with bright red or coral bark. Against the white snow this looks incredibly graphic.
• Form and size: A spreading bush that can reach 2.5–3 metres in height and width. It grows very quickly (up to 40–60 cm per season).
• Flowering: In May–June small white flowers appear, gathered into corymb-shaped inflorescences, and in autumn white or bluish inedible berries.
