Nippon Spiraea 'Snowmound'

One of the most beautiful spring-flowering cultivars. While in bloom the shrub resembles a snow-white ball or a snowdrift.

• Appearance: A dense shrub with spreading, arching branches. Height — 1.2–1.5 m. The leaves are small, elongated and dark green (they keep their colour until late autumn).
• Flowers: Small, pure white, gathered into numerous umbrella-shaped inflorescences that completely cover the shoots.
• Flowering: May – June (it flowers on last year's shoots).
• Conditions: Sun or light partial shade. Undemanding as to soil, drought-tolerant and very frost-hardy.
• Care: Important! Since it flowers in spring, it must not be cut back hard in early spring. Pruning is carried out immediately after flowering, removing the old branches.
