Japanese Spiraea 'Goldflame'

Japanese Spiraea 'Goldflame' is one of the most popular cultivars thanks to its incredible change of colours throughout the season.

Highlights and conditions:

• Appearance: A compact, dense bush, up to 60–80 cm in height and width.
• Flowering: In June–July it is covered with corymb-shaped dark pink inflorescences that create a bright contrast with the yellow foliage.
• Light: Requires maximum sun. In shade the foliage simply turns green, and the colour shimmer disappears.
• Soil: Undemanding, but grows best on fertile and moderately moist plots.
• Care: Requires spring pruning (leaving 15–20 cm from the ground). This stimulates the growth of young, brightest orange shoots.
