White Spruce 'Daisy's White'

White Spruce Daisy's White (Picea glauca 'Daisy's White') is one of the most beautiful dwarf conifers, prized for its compact size and unique ability to 'change colour' in spring.

Appearance and features

The main highlight of Daisy's White is its spring growth.

• Needles: In summer and winter they have a classic bright green colour. But in spring (May–June) the young shoots take on a creamy-white or soft yellow colour. During this period the little spruce looks as if it is glowing or dusted with snow.
• Form: It has a regular conical, very dense crown. It looks neat even without trimming.
• Growth rate: Grows very slowly. At 10 years of age its height is usually about 0.8 – 1 metre. It can grow to a maximum of 2 metres, but this takes decades.
