Korean Forsythia 'Kumson'

This cultivar is a real find for those who value not only the flowers, but also unusual foliage. Unlike ordinary forsythias, 'Kumson' stays ornamental all season long.

• Main feature: Unique "lacy" foliage. Against the dark green background, a dense network of silvery-cream veins stands out clearly.
• Flowering: Very early (March–April). The whole shrub becomes covered with bright yellow bells before the foliage appears.
• Autumn: The foliage takes on a noble purple-violet shade, against which the light lacework of veins becomes even brighter.
• Dimensions: Height 1.5–2 m. The crown is spreading, with delicate slender shoots.
• Conditions: Does best in sun or light partial shade. Undemanding as to soil, frost-hardy.
