Japanese Barberry 'Divine'

Japanese Barberry 'Divine' is a true find for lovers of compact and elegant plants. The cultivar stands out for its extraordinary density and noble colouring, which changes throughout the season.

Appearance and features:

• Foliage colour: The main adornment of the cultivar. The foliage is small, at first of a rich dark red or burgundycolour, In autumn the shrub becomes bright orange or fiery red.
• Crown shape: Very dense, compact, naturally globe-shaped. The shoots are short, densely covered with foliage, which makes the shrub resemble a neat "cushion".
• Size: This is a dwarf cultivar. When mature it reaches only 40–50 cm in height and about 50 cm in diameter.
• Light: It is best planted in full sun.
• Frost resistance: High (zone 4–5). It overwinters excellently in the climatic conditions of Ukraine, withstanding severe frosts.
