False Spiraea 'Sem'

False Spiraea 'Sem' (Sem) is one of the most popular ornamental shrubs thanks to its compactness and the incredible change of colours through the season. It is an improved version of the common false spiraea.

Main features:

• Play of colours: This is the main "highlight" of the cultivar.
  • In spring: The young foliage appears very early and has a striking pink-orange or coppery tint.
  • In summer: The foliage gradually turns light green, but the tips of the young shoots often stay golden.
  • In autumn: The bush colours up in yellow-red tones.
• Flowers: In July–August large pyramidal panicles of white fluffy flowers open. They have a pleasant honey scent and are very attractive to bees.
• Dimensions: 'Sem' grows compactly: its height and width usually do not exceed 1–1.2 m.
• Form: A dense, rounded bush with delicate foliage that resembles the leaves of a rowan.
