Sedum hybride Blue Pearl

One of the most striking and brightest varieties of stonecrop (sedum) of the SunSparkler series. The variety got its name 'Blue Pearl' for the unique, very deep colour of its leaves, which keep their ornamental value from early spring to late autumn. An ideal choice for creating contrasting accents in a garden that needs almost no care.

• Bush size: Compact, dense, bushy form. Mature height 15-20 cm, width up to 30-40 cm. Holds its shape perfectly, does not fall apart and forms a neat coloured mound.
• Leaves: Fleshy, succulent, rounded, with an amazing colour: rich smoky-blue with a violet-purple shade and a light waxy coating. In bright sun they darken to an even deeper violet tone.
• Flowering: From August to September. Above the dark foliage open large, dense corymb-like inflorescences of numerous small star-shaped flowers in a bright pink-raspberry colour. The contrast between the grey-purple leaves and pink flowers looks incredibly striking.
• Light: An exclusively sun-loving plant. Only in an open sunny spot will the leaves show their signature intense colour and the bush stay compact.
• Soil: Absolutely undemanding. Prefers light, sandy, dry or moderately moist soils with good drainage. Grows well even on poor soils. Does not tolerate waterlogging.
• Drought resistance: Extremely high - the plant stores moisture in its fleshy leaves, so it easily tolerates heat and prolonged drought.
• Frost resistance: High. Fully frost-resistant throughout Ukraine, overwinters without shelter.
