Japanese Azalea 'Geisha Orange'

Japanese Azalea 'Geisha Orange' is one of the most vivid members of the "Geisha" series, known for its warm orange shade, which is unusual for azaleas.

Key characteristics:

• Flowers: Small, but extraordinarily numerous, of a rich orange-red colour with a barely noticeable dark speckling.
• Flowering: Late May to June; it blooms so densely that the shrub resembles a bright orange cloud.
• Size: Height up to 40–50 cm, width up to 70–80 cm; the crown is very dense and cushion-shaped.
• Foliage: Small, dark green, glossy; semi-evergreen, in winter it may partially drop or turn bronze.
• Conditions: Requires acidic soil, partial shade and a spot sheltered from draughts.
• Frost resistance: High (down to -24...-25°C); it overwinters well in a temperate climate under snow.
