Japanese Azalea 'Maruschka'

Japanese Azalea 'Maruschka' — one of the most striking cultivars, valued not only for its bright flowering but also for its exceptionally beautiful winter foliage.

Key characteristics:

• Flowers: A rich carmine-red colour, small, but covering the shrub in a continuous carpet.
• Flowering: The second half of May – June; very profuse and long-lasting.
• Dimensions: Height up to 40–50 cm, width up to 80 cm; the crown is dense, cushion-shaped, and grows slowly.
• Foliage: Small, glossy; dark green in summer, and in winter it turns a rich dark purple or almost black.
• Conditions: Requires acidic soil, partial shade and steady moisture without waterlogging.
• Frost resistance: High (down to -25°C); the cultivar is considered one of the most reliable for the climate of Ukraine.
