Colorado Blue Spruce 'Kaibab'

A hardy silvery-blue spruce with a dense conical crown.

• Appearance: Classic pyramidal form. The branches grow horizontally in dense tiers. The height of an adult plant is 10–12 m, with a width of up to 3–4 m.
• Foliage: Very stiff and prickly, up to 3 cm long. The colour ranges from dark green to bright silvery-blue (depending on the light and age).
• Conditions: Does best in full sun (in shade it loses its blue tint). Very resistant to drought, wind and urban dust.
• Care: Fully frost-hardy. Undemanding as to soils, but does not like waterlogging. Tolerates pruning well at a young age.
