Japanese White Pine 'Sea Urchin'

Japanese White Pine 'Sea Urchin' (Pinus parviflora 'Sea Urchin') — a true dwarf among pines, whose name translates as "Sea Urchin", which perfectly describes its appearance.

Key characteristics

• Appearance: Has the form of a very dense, almost perfect sphere. The needles are short, soft, silvery-blue in colour with a slight curve.
• Dimensions: This is a super-dwarf cultivar. The annual growth is just 2–3 cm. At 10 years of age it usually does not exceed 20–30 cm in diameter.
• Needles: Gathered in tufts of 5, which is characteristic of five-needle pines, with a pronounced glaucous tint.
